James E. Brown

James E. Brown is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of OCC.

Mr. Brown joined OCC in January 2012. Prior to joining OCC, he was a corporate and securities attorney at Schiff Hardin LLP. Mr. Brown's practice concentrations included corporate and commercial law for privately held and publicly traded corporations, as well as secured and unsecured public and private financings for lenders and borrowers.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Chicago Council of Lawyers and since 2006, a leading lawyer in the Illinois Leading Lawyers Network.

Mr. Brown earned his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 1983 and his B.A. in Economics from The Ohio State University in 1980.
